Anyone setting about higher education must sooner or later write in a 'scientific way’. With theses, bachelor papers and master theses papers the student is expected to have mastered the art of academic writing.

As of February 01, 2012, ScienceDirect, the world's leading source for scientific, technical, and medical full text research, is onsite accessible.

ScienceDirect's extensive and unique full text database covers authoritative titles from the core scientific literature, including high-impact factor titles such as THE LANCET, Cell and Tetrahedron.

More than 2,500 journals and more than nine million full-text articles are available in ScienceDirect.

After almost a year the Anton de Kom University of Suriname again has access to HINARI and AGORA.

As of Saturday 03 december 2011 the Studyroom of the Central Library will also be accessible on Saturdays and Sundays.

      Saturday:  07.30u. – 17.45u.

      Sunday:    10.00u. – 17.45u.

 

Please keep in mind that during the extended business hours only the Studyroom will be open for study purposes.

Every year, on 24 October, the work of the United Nations organization is given greater publicity.  

In this context, the University Library organized an exhibition on 24 October 2011. The theme of the "UN DAY" was: "Greening the Blue".

 

The Library of the Anton de Kom University (UB) has the status of United Nations (UN) Depository Library since 1986, which means promoting UN services and activities.

 

Every year, on 24 October, the work of the United Nations organization is given greater publicity. In this context, the University Library has organized an exhibition from 24 - 25 October, with the theme "GREENING the Blue".

The Library of the University of Suriname (UB) has received from the AdeK-Leiden Books project a considerable gift consisting of about 150 boxes with very useful literature on law, medicine and management.    

 

Mrs. Don Venne, Coordinator of the project, with her team, has provided a good addition to our collection.
