Membership

The Library is in the first place meant for academic study. The following persons are admitted:

• Students, lecturers and researchers of the Anton de Kom University of Suriname;
• Students of other institutes for higher and university education at home and abroad;
• The University community (Board, scholarly and administrative staff of the University of Suriname).

All users should be registered and get a library pass, to be used on borrowing documents.
By virtue of the Regulations Library Anton de Kom University some users are compelled to pay an annual membership fee.

Housing

Scientific information service for the faculties of Social Sciences and Technological Sciences is brought together in the Central Library, and information service for the Medical Sciences faculty is to be found in the Medical Library.

As from 1968 the collection of the University Library has been stored in several buildings. With the building of a Central Library on University campus in 1983, the collections of social and technical sciences were centralized.
