The Library of the Anton de Kom University (UB) has the status of United Nations (UN) Depository Library since 1986, which means promoting UN services and activities.
Every year, on 24 October, the work of the United Nations organization is given greater publicity. In this context, the University Library has organized an exhibition from 24 - 25 October, with the theme "GREENING the Blue".
Date: 24 - 25 October 2011
Location: Library, Cybertheek
Opening hours: 08.00 - 20.30hrs
"Greening the Blue" was launched in 2010 to get an environment 'awareness' process started, with sustainable management in both the UN staff and other stakeholders as the ultimate goal.
The theme is developed in an exhibition of documents (hard copy, e-books), posters and online databases (e.g. UNDOC). These will contribute to the awareness of the use of e-documents in the Library.
The message of the UB: “Go green, don’t print unless necessary”
